pClassifyRTPTagPriority

Module: CT-PRIORITY-CLASSIFY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CT-PRIORITY-CLASSIFY-MIB::pClassifyRTPTagPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.5.1.3.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This value represents one of eight priority levels, 0 through 7, with 0 being the lowest and 7 the highest. The value will be translated by the device into a three bit binary number for use as the user_priority field of the TCI (Tag Control Information) format. This object is only valid if pClassifyRTPState is OnlyQTag or QTagAndQTOS.

What is pClassifyRTPTagPriority?

This read-write INTEGER, ranging 0 through 7 with 0 lowest and 7 highest and valid only when pClassifyRTPState is onlyQTag or qTagAndQTOS, sets the priority level translated into the three-bit user_priority field of the 802.1Q TCI. An admin sets this to control the Layer-2 priority tag applied to classified RTP frames. For example, setting this to 5 ensures RTP frames carry 802.1Q priority 5 so an upstream switch places them in a higher-priority egress queue.
