pClassifyRTPTOSPrecedence

Module: CT-PRIORITY-CLASSIFY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CT-PRIORITY-CLASSIFY-MIB::pClassifyRTPTOSPrecedence

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.5.1.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This value represents one of eight precedence levels, 0 through 7, with 0 being the lowest and 7 the highest. The value will be translated by the device into a three bit binary number for use as the precedence field in the TOS portion of the IP Datagram. This object is valid only if pClassifyRTPState is OnlyQTOS or QTagAndQTOS.

What is pClassifyRTPTOSPrecedence?

This read-write INTEGER, ranging 0 through 7 with 0 lowest and 7 highest and valid only when pClassifyRTPState is onlyQTOS or qTagAndQTOS, sets the precedence level translated into the three-bit TOS precedence field of the IP datagram. An admin sets this to control the actual DSCP/TOS marking applied to classified RTP traffic. For example, setting this to 6 stamps RTP packets with a high TOS precedence so downstream routers queue them ahead of ordinary best-effort traffic.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.5.1.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CT-PRIORITY-CLASSIFY-MIB::pClassifyRTPTOSPrecedence

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.5.1.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CT-PRIORITY-CLASSIFY-MIB::pClassifyRTPTOSPrecedence.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.2.14.5.1.3.1.3.1 i <value>
