ctAgentDaiIfRateLimit

Module: CT-FASTPATH-DYNAMIC-ARP-INSPECTION-MIB

OID (symbolic): CT-FASTPATH-DYNAMIC-ARP-INSPECTION-MIB::ctAgentDaiIfRateLimit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.36.1.1.7.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates rate limit value for Dynamic ARP Inspection purpose. If the incoming rate of ARP packets exceeds the value of this object for consecutively burst interval seconds, ARP packets will be dropped.

What is ctAgentDaiIfRateLimit?

This read-write Unsigned32, in packets per second from 0 to 300, sets the ARP packet rate limit for Dynamic ARP Inspection on an interface, beyond which packets are dropped for consecutive burst-interval seconds. An administrator uses this to prevent an ARP flood from overwhelming the inspection process on that port. For example, an admin might lower ctAgentDaiIfRateLimit on a user access port to blunt a potential ARP flooding attack from a compromised endpoint.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CT-FASTPATH-DYNAMIC-ARP-INSPECTION-MIB::ctAgentDaiIfRateLimit

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.36.1.1.7.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CT-FASTPATH-DYNAMIC-ARP-INSPECTION-MIB::ctAgentDaiIfRateLimit.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.2.36.1.1.7.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ctAgentDaiIfRateLimit.1
