Module: CT-FASTPATH-DHCPSERVER-MIB

OID (symbolic): CT-FASTPATH-DHCPSERVER-MIB::ctAgentDhcpServerManualPoolClientIdentifier

Description: It specifies the unique identifier (in colon separated hexadecimal format) of a DHCP client. It is valid for manual bindings only. It displays 'unconfigured',if the binding type is 'un-allocated',or,'dynamic'. To set this object, input should be 7 octets long with the hardware type in the first octet.

What is ctAgentDhcpServerManualPoolClientIdentifier?

This read-write DisplayString specifies the unique client identifier, entered as a 7-octet colon-separated hex string with hardware type in the first octet, used to match a specific DHCP client for a manual binding, showing 'unconfigured' otherwise. An administrator uses it to permanently reserve an address for a device identified by this client ID rather than its raw MAC address. For example, an admin reserving an address for a device whose DHCP client sends a custom client-identifier option would configure ctAgentDhcpServerManualPoolClientIdentifier with that exact value to ensure a match.
