Description: This object is used to specify the type of test to run. The result of the self test will be stored in cpIwfTestResult. In order to run this test, the CO-IWF must first set the value of this object to the test that needs to be carried out. The CO-IWF must then set the cpIwfAdminStatus to 'testing' which will activate the test. To de-activate a test that does not self-terminate such as a loopback test, the CO-IWF must set the cpIwfAdminStatus to a value other than 'testing'.
What is cpIwfTestType?
This read-write enumerated value, currently only supporting selfTest(1), specifies which test the CO-IWF wants the CP-IWF to run before setting cpIwfAdminStatus to testing to activate it. It gives an admin a defined mechanism to trigger built-in diagnostics on the device. Setting this to selfTest(1) and then setting cpIwfAdminStatus to testing(4) kicks off the device's self-test, with the outcome later readable from cpIwfTestResult.
