aal2ChannelIdD
Module: CPIWF-MIB
OID (symbolic): CPIWF-MIB::aal2ChannelIdD
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.10.1.1.4.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The CID of the AAL2 connection transporting the D channel of this ISDN BRI port over the AAL2 VCC. The default value of this object is determined by the formula defined in af-vmoa-0145.000 section 4.4.2. When the aal2ApplicationIdentifier indicates the presence of ELCP, this object should not be used for CID allocation and the value of this object is not applicable. In addition, if an SNMP operation is attempted on this object, an SNMP response with error status of badValue (3) should be returned.
What is aal2ChannelIdD?
This read-write INTEGER, ranging from 16 to 255, sets the CID of the AAL2 connection carrying the D channel of this ISDN BRI port, with a default computed per the af-vmoa-0145.000 formula, and becomes inapplicable under ELCP signalling like the POTS equivalent. It lets an admin assign or confirm which channel identifier carries the D channel's signalling traffic for this ISDN port. If the default CID computed by the formula conflicts with another channel's assignment, the admin can set this field explicitly to resolve the collision, so long as ELCP is not in use.
