aal2ChannelIdB1

Module: CPIWF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPIWF-MIB::aal2ChannelIdB1

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.10.1.1.4.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The CID of the AAL2 connection transporting the B1 channel of this ISDN BRI port over the AAL2 VCC. The default value of this object is determined by the formula defined in af-vmoa-0145.000 section 4.4.2. When the aal2ApplicationIdentifier indicates the presence of ELCP, this object should not be used for CID allocation and the value of this object is not applicable. In addition, if an SNMP operation is attempted on this object, an SNMP response with error status of badValue (3) should be returned.

What is aal2ChannelIdB1?

This read-write INTEGER, ranging from 16 to 255, sets the CID of the AAL2 connection carrying the B1 bearer channel of this ISDN BRI port, with a default computed per the af-vmoa-0145.000 formula, and becomes inapplicable under ELCP signalling. It lets an admin assign which channel identifier carries this ISDN port's first bearer channel traffic. An admin troubleshooting a one-way audio issue on the B1 channel of an ISDN line would check this CID assignment for conflicts with other channels on the same AAL2 VCC.
