aal2ChannelId

Module: CPIWF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CPIWF-MIB::aal2ChannelId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.10.1.1.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The CID of the AAL2 connection transporting this port's traffic over the AAL2 VCC. When the aal2ApplicationIdentifier indicates the presence of ELCP, this object should not be used for CID allocation and the value of this object is not applicable. In addition, if an SNMP operation is attempted on this object, an SNMP response with error status of badValue (3) should be returned.

What is aal2ChannelId?

This read-write INTEGER, ranging from 16 to 255, sets the CID of the AAL2 connection carrying this POTS port's traffic over the AAL2 VCC, though it becomes inapplicable and any SNMP operation on it should return badValue when aal2ApplicationIdentifier indicates ELCP is in use. It lets an admin assign which channel identifier a specific port's voice traffic rides on within the shared AAL2 connection. Setting this to CID 20 for a given POTS port dedicates that channel number to its traffic, as long as ELCP signalling is not in use for this connection.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.10.1.1.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CPIWF-MIB::aal2ChannelId

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.10.1.1.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CPIWF-MIB::aal2ChannelId.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.353.5.10.1.1.3.1.3.1 i <value>
