Module: CORIANT-GROOVE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CORIANT-GROOVE-MIB::wan10gSdhOperStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.42229.1.2.4.1.31.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The operational state specifies whether or not a resource is able to provide service. The operational state shall be visible to the operator. The user cannot modify the operational state. It provides a simple mechanism for the operator to decide whether a resource is operational or not, therefore this parameter has a read-only nature. The operational state is closely coupled with the alarm status of a resource, i.e. state transitions are triggered internally by the NE software. It can have one of the following values: Down: The resource is totally inoperable and unable to provide service to the user(s) Up: The resource is partially or fully operable and available for use.

default value :up

What is wan10gSdhOperStatus?

This OID reports the operational state of the WAN 10G SDH interface as up (1) or down (2), showing whether it can actually carry service right now. Because state transitions here are triggered internally by the network element's software in step with the interface's alarm status, a drop to down flags a real fault rather than an administrative decision, unlike the paired administrative-state object. For example, if a fiber cut triggers a loss-of-signal condition on this SDH interface, the equipment automatically flips this value to down so the operator immediately sees the path is out of service.
