What is wan10gSdhClientShutdown?
This OID is a yes/no switch, defaulting to no, that controls whether client-shutdown is enabled on this WAN 10G SDH interface. When enabled, the device squelches the client-facing signal in response to a fault on this interface, a protection mechanism that stops a dead circuit from silently passing bad traffic downstream to attached client equipment. For example, if this SDH trunk loses its signal and client-shutdown is set to yes, the connected client port is forced down too, alerting the downstream router immediately rather than leaving it waiting on a link that will never recover.
