An operator lowers this for accounts that should only ever have one active session at a time, reducing risk from a forgotten open session elsewhere, or raises it for shared operational accounts needing many simultaneous connections. Restricting a sensitive administrative account to a single session is a common hardening step an admin would apply via this field.
