Description: Indicates which protocol has been used to establish the session.
What is sessionProtocol?
This field indicates which protocol, such as telnet, telnetRaw, serial, ssh, sshRaw, https, or http, was used to establish a given session. An admin reviews this to understand how each active session connected to the device, which matters for spotting sessions using an insecure protocol like telnet or plain http that should ideally be disabled. Finding an active session listed with protocol telnet on a device where securityHttpSupport-style insecure protocols were supposed to be phased out would prompt a review of why that legacy access path is still in use.
