Access: read-only

Description: Provided to qualify the operational, usage and/or administrative status attributes. The value shall be a bits, management interface shall show the string with space separator ' ' per yang definition.

Following available status indication shall be supported: Failed,Mismatch,LowerLayerDown,NotPresent,Shutdown,Degraded,Idle,Busy, Hibernation,In-Test,Loopback,SoftwareUpgrade,Initializing,Unknown,Incomplete

Example: an ODU can be failed without cross connection, the available status is 'Failed Idle'.

Provided to qualify the operational, usage and/or administrative state attributes. The value of each status attribute may denote the presence of one or more particular conditions applicable to the resource.

What is portAvailStatus?

This is a bitmask of detailed availability-status flags for the port, such as failed, loopback, or notPresent. It gives an admin finer diagnostic detail than a simple operational up-or-down reading for the port. For example, a port flagged with the loopback bit set would tell the admin it's currently in a test loopback configuration rather than actually carrying live customer traffic.
