This is a block counter that records the total number of OTUC2 frame blocks flagged as errored during the current monitoring interval. Tracking it lets an administrator see the overall error rate trend on a 200G-class optical tributary independent of whether FEC managed to fix each block. An engineer might pull this value at end of shift to confirm whether an OTUC2 span logged an unusual spike in errored blocks after a storm affected an outdoor fiber run.
