What is otdrPortOtdrFiberType?
This read-only enumerated value reports the fiber type configured for the OTDR sweep, such as ssmf, leaf, twrs, dsf, or several other named fiber types, defaulting to auto. Selecting the correct fiber type lets the OTDR apply the right scattering/attenuation characteristics when interpreting a trace, improving the accuracy of detected event distances and loss values. For example, otdrPortOtdrFiberType set to 'ssmf' tells the OTDR engine to interpret backscatter for standard single-mode fiber rather than a dispersion-shifted fiber (dsf) type, which would otherwise skew the loss calculations.
