This read-only CoriantTypesTimMode value reports which trail-trace fields (SAPI, DAPI, operator, or a combination, or none) are actually used to detect a TIM (Trace Identifier Mismatch) defect on this ODU, defaulting to NONE. This controls how strict trail-trace validation is: with mode set to NONE, mismatched trace identifiers won't be flagged as a defect at all. For example, setting oduTimDefectMode to validate SAPI and DAPI together would make the NE raise a TIM defect if either the source or destination identifier received doesn't match what's expected, rather than silently accepting the mismatch.
