What is oduDegradeInterval?
This read-only Unsigned32 value (2-10, default 7) is the number of consecutive one-second intervals, each exceeding the block-error threshold, required before the ODU is declared in a Signal-Degrade (SDBER) condition. This lets operators tune how persistent elevated errors must be before a degrade alarm fires, avoiding nuisance alarms from a single noisy second. For example, with this set to 7, seven consecutive seconds of block errors above threshold would be required before an SDBER alarm is raised on this ODU, rather than a single bad second triggering it.
