What is ochOsLaserEnable?
This CoriantTypesEnableSwitch (default disabled) turns the output laser on or off for the coherent optical channel (och-os) on the line side of a pluggable transceiver. An administrator uses this as the most direct control over whether the port is transmitting light at all, for example before physically handling the fiber connector or when the port is provisioned but not yet placed into service. For example, disabling the laser on och-os before removing a patch cord avoids exposing a live optical signal at the connector during maintenance.
