What is ntpAssociationPreferredNtpAssociation?
This is a true/false flag marking whether a given NTP association is the preferred one the NE should favor when multiple sources are available. This matters in a multi-server NTP configuration, since marking a particularly accurate or trusted server as preferred biases the NTP algorithm toward selecting it over other, potentially less reliable, sources. For example, if an organization has one on-site GPS-disciplined NTP server and several less-precise public servers configured, an admin would set ntpAssociationPreferredNtpAssociation true for the on-site server's entry.
