Description: Indicates the entity type the condition associated, which provides additional information for the object instance having the condition. entity type is not exactly same as MO. Entity type have smaller granularity referring to different service functions, e.g. 100GBase-R, 40GBase-R, 100GBase-R, ODU4, ODU2, ODU3, OTU4, OTUC2... Separate functions will have different entity types so that profile can be set differently for different service function which is more corresponding to user application.

What is notificationFmEntityType?

This indicates the finer-grained entity type, such as 100GBase-R, ODU4, or OTU4, associated with the alarmed object, distinguishing which service function within a port raised the condition. It lets an admin pinpoint the exact protocol layer at fault when a single physical port carries several different signal types. For example, an alarm entity type of ODU2 on a multiplexed line port tells the admin the fault is specific to one wrapped sub-signal, not the whole 100G line rate.
