What is networkingSourceAddressSelectMode?

This setting controls how the device selects a source IP address for outgoing route next-hop entries, choosing between loopback-prefer (numerically lowest loopback address) or link-prefer (the outgoing interface's own address), and defaults to link-prefer. An operator changes this to loopback-prefer when they want a stable, interface-independent source address for management or routing protocol traffic that shouldn't change if a physical link is re-homed. Selecting loopback-prefer, for example, ensures SNMP traps or routing protocol packets keep coming from the same loopback address even if the underlying outgoing interface changes.
