This read-only enumerated value reports the current color/blink pattern of the LED: notAvailable, off, blink, red, redBlink, green, greenBlink, amber, or amberBlink. It matters because these colors are the first, fastest signal a field technician sees when walking the aisle, and the MIB lets remote monitoring mirror what is physically visible on the chassis. For example, a fault_led reporting 'red' on a given card immediately tells both the remote NOC and an on-site technician that the card has an active hardware fault, while 'greenBlink' on an active_led would indicate the card is in a normal, active operating state.
