Because keys are referenced by name elsewhere in the configuration, for example by certificates or PSK entries, a clear keyName lets an administrator track which key underlies which certificate or session without inspecting raw key material. For example, an admin might name a key groove-tls-key-2026 to indicate both its purpose and the year it was generated, making later key-rotation audits easier.
