What is inUtilizationAvg?
This is the average value over the current performance-monitoring interval of the percentage of ingress capacity being used on this interface during the current performance-monitoring interval. Averaged utilization over the interval is what capacity-planning teams typically trend over weeks or months to decide when a link needs to be upgraded. For example, if inUtilizationAvg has been steadily climbing across monthly reports, an admin would use that trend to justify ordering an additional wavelength or upgrading the transponder before the link saturates.
