Description: the statistics counting for output 65 to 127 octets packets

UNITS:packets

What is eth40gStatisticsEntryOutPackets65to127octets?

This OID counts how many outbound packets between 65 to 127 bytes were transmitted from this 40 Gbps Ethernet (40GbE) interface, one bucket of the interface's outbound packet-size distribution. Comparing this outbound size-bucket distribution against the inbound one lets an admin see whether this device is repackaging traffic into different sized frames, for example aggregating many small inbound packets into larger outbound ones. For example, if a 40GbE trunk aggregating several client services's outbound counts concentrate in the 65 to 127 bytes bucket while inbound traffic skews smaller, that pattern would suggest the device is aggregating or encapsulating client packets before sending them onward.
