This OID counts how many inbound packets on this 100 Gbps Ethernet (100GbE) interface exceeded the maximum valid frame size. Oversized frames typically point to a jumbo-frame or MTU mismatch between connected devices, so a nonzero count here helps an admin diagnose why some traffic is being rejected or truncated on this link. For example, if a server on the far end is sending 9000-byte jumbo frames while a 100GbE line-side interface on a data-center-interconnect (DCI) link is configured for a standard 1500-byte MTU, this counter would begin climbing as those oversized frames arrive.
