What is pgExternalPortReceivedPackets?
This is a 64-bit running counter of packets the device has received on its external network port. Administrators watch it to confirm client-side traffic is actually reaching the box and to gauge inbound load on the security gateway. For example, if the counter stalls at a fixed value even though the WAN link is up, that points to a physical or configuration problem on the external interface.
