What is pgExternalPortReceivedJabberPackets?
This 64-bit counter counts jabber packets, oversized frames with invalid CRC, received on the external port, a classic sign of a malfunctioning transmitting NIC. An admin uses it to spot a faulty device somewhere upstream on the WAN path that is spewing malformed frames. For example, a continuously incrementing jabber count from a single upstream link would prompt the admin to have that link's hardware inspected.
