This read-only Gauge32, in packets per second, reports the current outbound packet rate on internal ports, that is, traffic being forwarded toward the protected network. It lets an admin see how much mitigated traffic is actually being delivered inward to protected hosts. For example, an admin compares internalPortPacketTransmitRate to externalPortPacketReceiveRate to gauge how much of an inbound flood the appliance is filtering out before it reaches the internal network.
