What is externalPortPacketReceiveRate?
This read-only Gauge32, in packets per second, reports the current inbound packet rate on the appliance's external, internet-facing ports. It lets an admin see how much traffic is arriving from outside in real time, key for spotting volumetric attacks. For example, an admin watches externalPortPacketReceiveRate spike far above baseline during a suspected inbound DDoS attack.
