What is externalPortBitTransmitRate?
This read-only Gauge32, in megabits per second, reports the current outbound bandwidth usage on the external ports. It gives an admin a throughput view of egress traffic for capacity planning and anomaly monitoring. For example, an admin sees externalPortBitTransmitRate spike unexpectedly and traces it to a large scheduled backup job pushing data offsite.
