What is position?
position is a DisplayString describing the physical slot or location position of the associated component within the chassis. An admin dispatched to service a flagged component uses this position string to find the correct physical location in the chassis without needing to cross-reference a separate diagram. For example, if an error LED entry reports a fault, the admin reads its position value to know exactly which bay or slot to check on-site.
