What is picldStatus?
This read-only Integer32 reports the status code of picld, the Sun Platform Information and Control Library daemon that this MIB's agent relies on to collect hardware inventory and sensor data. An admin checks this first when other objects in this MIB come back empty or stale, since a non-running or failing picld means the rest of the hardware tree can't be read. For example, seeing a nonzero error status here explains why the totalmemory or totalprocessors objects on the same host are returning unreadable or unchanged values.
