This read-write true/false attribute, not applicable to 10bT cards where it defaults to a read-only true, controls whether ComPorts on this VLAN can communicate directly with each other without going through an external router. An admin uses this as a security control to force subscriber isolation on a shared VLAN. For example, an admin sets this to false on a residential VLAN to require all inter-subscriber traffic to pass through the router rather than communicating directly.
