Description: This attribute is used to control the automatic adjustment of ComPort gain after acquisition. Default is disable.
What is hcxStuAutoGainAdjust?
This read-write disable/enable attribute, disabled by default, controls whether the ComController automatically adjusts a ComPort's gain after it acquires service. An admin enables it when cable-plant loss varies enough between subscribers that manual per-port gain tuning becomes impractical. For example, after seeing modems on a longer coax run repeatedly fail acquisition due to weak signal, an admin enables auto gain adjust to let the system compensate on its own.
