Description: This attribute specifies the number of shelves in the system. Presently one or two.
What is hcxNumOfShelves?
This read-only integer, either 1 or 2, reports how many physical shelves make up this ComController system. It's a basic capacity/scale indicator an admin references when assessing how much hardware is deployed at a given headend site. For example, a site inventory audit would record hcxNumOfShelves for each headend to keep an accurate count of deployed shelf hardware across the plant.
