Description: Specifies whether IP destination address filtering should be enabled for this ComPort. This filter is applicable to 100BT, and OC3 cards. It is not applicable to to 10BT card. It filters traffic in the upstream direction. Default is false. This filter can also be enabled for an entire VLAN via the MIB attribute hcxVlanIpDstFiltEnbl.
What is hcxStuIpDstFiltEnable?
This read-write true/false object enables IP destination-address filtering for upstream traffic on this ComPort, applicable to 100BT and OC3 cards but not 10BT, defaulting to false, per the description, and can also be enabled per-VLAN. An admin enables this to restrict where a subscriber's upstream traffic is allowed to be sent, per the configured destination-IP table entries. For example, an admin enables hcxStuIpDstFiltEnable to confine a kiosk-style ComPort to only reaching a specific set of allowed destination servers.
