Description: The Ethernet Port Restart Action is an active-value. The setting of this attribute to restart(2) causes the Ethernet port to reset and download a new image.
What is hcxEtherPortRestartAction?
This read-write action attribute causes the Ethernet port to reset and download a new software image when set to restart(2). It gives an administrator a way to reload just one port's firmware without restarting the whole card via hcxEtherRestartAction. For example, an operator seeing errors isolated to a single port on an otherwise healthy card could restart just that port instead of resetting the entire card and disrupting other subscribers.
