Description: The Ethernet Fault Status LED is a read-only attribute which describes the condition of the Ethernet Fault Status light emitting diode located on the Ethernet board. A value of on(1) indicates that an fault condition has been detected (for which a trap will have been issued) and the LED is illuminated. Will be off if no card present.
What is hcxEtherFaultStatusLed?
This read-only on/off value mirrors the physical Ethernet Fault Status LED, lighting on(1) when a fault has been detected and a corresponding trap issued, and reporting off if no card is present. It gives an administrator a remote view of the card's fault indicator matching what a technician would see at the chassis. For example, an operator receiving a fault trap could confirm it against this LED status to be sure the fault is still active before dispatching a technician.
