Description: The Percentage Software Error Frames. Divide this objects value by 1000 to get the real floating point percentage value, e.g. 132 = 0.132 % wire speed. A value of 4294967294 indicates unknown.
What is vlSoftErrorsPercent?
This read-only Gauge32 gives this VLAN's software-error rate as a percentage of its total frames, scaled by 1000. An admin uses it the same way as vlHardErrorsPercent, but for protocol-level errors, to normalize comparisons across VLANs of different sizes. For instance, a VLAN whose vlSoftErrorsPercent climbs even as raw traffic stays flat would indicate a worsening protocol-level issue specific to that VLAN.
