OID (symbolic): CODIMA-EXPRESS-MIB::sliNetRouteProblem

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.226.3.2.1.1.2.1.5.1.24

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: Number of reports in the ICMP Routing Problems - Network Group. The reports apply to Network Routing problems and include Destination Net Unknown (Number of Destination Network Unknown Report Frames), Network Prohibited (Number of Network Prohibited Report Frames), Network TOS Unreachable (Number of Network Type of Service Unreachable Report Frames), Network Unreachable (Number of Network Unreachable Report Frames) and Source Route Fail (Number of Source Route Failure Report Frames). A value of 4294967294 indicates unknown.

What is sliNetRouteProblem?

This read-only Counter32 aggregates the ICMP Routing Problems - Network Group for the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic during this 15-minute long-term sample, combining Destination Net Unknown, Network Prohibited, Network TOS Unreachable, Network Unreachable, and Source Route Failure report frames, with 4294967294 meaning unknown. An admin uses this rollup as a single alarm point for network-level routing trouble affecting the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic, then drills into the individual counters to find the specific cause. For example, a rising NetRouteProblem count on the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic that lines up with a Network Unreachable spike in the same 15-minute long-term sample would tell the admin the trouble is specifically missing routes rather than administrative blocking.
