Description: Number of reports in the ICMP Routing Problems - Host Group. The reports apply to Host Routing problems and include Destination Host Unknown (Number of Destination Host Unknown Report Frames), Host TOS Unreachable (Number of Host Type of Service Unreachable Report Frames), Host Prohibited (Number of Host Prohibited Report Frames), Host Unreachable (Number of Host Unreachable Report Frames) and Source Host Isolated (Number of Source Host Isolated Report Frames). A value of 4294967294 indicates unknown.
What is sliHostRouteProblem?
This read-only Counter32 aggregates the ICMP Routing Problems - Host Group for the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic during this 15-minute long-term sample, combining Destination Host Unknown, Host TOS Unreachable, Host Prohibited, Host Unreachable, and Source Host Isolated report frames, with 4294967294 meaning unknown. An admin uses this rollup as a single alarm point for host-level routing trouble affecting the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic, separate from whole-network routing problems, then checks the individual counters for the specific cause. For example, a rising HostRouteProblem count on the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic paired with a Host Prohibited spike would point the admin at a firewall rule change rather than a genuinely unreachable host.
