An admin uses this rollup to see application-layer reachability trouble on the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic at a glance before checking whether it is a closed port or an unsupported protocol driving it. For example, a rising AppRouteProblem count on the monitored segment's ICMP/IP traffic that tracks closely with Port Unreachable would tell the admin clients are hitting a service that has stopped listening rather than a protocol incompatibility.
