Description: Percentage in relation to total number of Frames i.e., Percentage of the total frame count that have hardware or software errors. Divide this objects value by 1000 to get the real floating point percentage value, e.g. 132 = 0.132 % wire speed. A value of 4294967294 indicates unknown.
What is sldErrorFrames?
This read-only Gauge32 reports the percentage of total frames on the monitored segment as a whole during this 15-minute long-term sample that had hardware or software errors; divide the raw value by 1000 to get the real percentage, with 4294967294 meaning unknown. An admin uses this normalized error rate rather than raw error counters to fairly compare error levels on the monitored segment as a whole across samples with very different traffic volumes. For example, an ErrorFrames value corresponding to 2% on the monitored segment as a whole would be a clear anomaly worth investigating, since a healthy Ethernet segment typically runs well under 1%.
