Description: Number of Frames Received. A value of 4294967294 indicates unknown.
What is msdpRxFrames?
This read-only Counter32 counts only the frames received (inbound) for this row of the msdp directional (Tx/Rx) history table, separate from the transmitted-frame count. Splitting Rx from Tx lets an admin see whether that MAC address (MacIndex) is mostly a traffic sink or source, which a combined Frames counter elsewhere in the MIB would obscure. An admin checking why a workstation's disk activity spikes would look at msdpRxFrames to confirm it is receiving an unusually large number of inbound frames, e.g. during a software push.
