What is mpspMac1Index?
Mac1Index is a MacAddress-typed, read-only key holding the first of the two peer MAC addresses that identify which MAC-to-MAC conversation this row of the table describes. Because the row it keys also carries the protocol-by-protocol frame breakdown (Novell, SNMP, routing, Web, ICMP, mail, DNS, VoIP and more) for that MAC-to-MAC conversation, an admin (or the management station polling this table) needs this value, alongside Mac2Index and the timestamp, to pick out one specific conversation's history instead of scanning every row. For example, a row with Mac1Index set to 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:01 and Mac2Index set to 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:02 identifies the samples collected for traffic exchanged between exactly those two adapters.
