What is mlpLayer3Traffic?

This read-only Counter32 counts frames in a user-definable protocol group (named 'Layer3Traffic' in this MIB) for this row's MAC address (MacIndex) in the mlp protocol-mix history table, per its description grouping related protocols together for pattern analysis at the node level. Because the protocols placed in this group are configurable rather than fixed by the MIB, an admin relies on this counter to see the traffic mix the switch operator chose to track for that host, such as a bundle of control or application protocols. An admin auditing which category of traffic dominates a host's activity would compare mlpLayer3Traffic against the other named-protocol counters in the same row of the mlp protocol-mix history table to see how the user-defined grouping stacks up.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.226.3.2.1.1.3.1.6.1.15
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CODIMA-EXPRESS-MIB::mlpLayer3Traffic

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.226.3.2.1.1.3.1.6.1.15.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CODIMA-EXPRESS-MIB::mlpLayer3Traffic.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mlpLayer3Traffic.1
