mlduRxUtilization

Module: CODIMA-EXPRESS-MIB

OID (symbolic): CODIMA-EXPRESS-MIB::mlduRxUtilization

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.226.3.2.1.1.3.1.3.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge32

Access: read-only

Description: Percent Utilization Received (% Wire Speed). Divide this objects value by 1000 to get the real floating point percentage value, e.g. 132 = 0.132 % wire speed. A value of 4294967294 indicates unknown.

What is mlduRxUtilization?

This read-only Gauge32 gives the percentage utilization (percent of wire speed) attributable to received traffic for this row of the mldu directional (Tx/Rx) history table, scaled by 1000 so a raw value of 132 means 0.132%. Because it isolates the inbound direction, an admin can use this to spot a MAC address (MacIndex) that is close to saturating the link on the way in even if TxUtilization for the same row looks low. If mlduRxUtilization reads consistently near the wire-speed maximum for one host, an admin would flag that host's downlink as the bottleneck before looking anywhere else on the segment.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CODIMA-EXPRESS-MIB::mlduRxUtilization

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.226.3.2.1.1.3.1.3.1.11.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CODIMA-EXPRESS-MIB::mlduRxUtilization.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> mlduRxUtilization.1
