What is ipsiHostUnreachable?
This read-only Counter32 counts ICMP Host Unreachable messages seen between the two peer addresses, indicating the destination host itself (not just its network) could not be reached. This distinguishes a host-specific outage from a broader network outage, helping an admin narrow down whether a single machine or an entire subnet is down. For instance, if only ipsiHostUnreachable (and not ipsiNetUnreachable) is incrementing for this pair, the admin knows the target subnet is reachable but that particular host is down.
