Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: The lock real time represents the current last time slot available for the History Databases. The real time is the last entry timeslot that it is possible to retrieve via SNMP polling. The value is in the format 'hh:mm:ss dd/mmm/yyyy'. The time 'hh:mm:ss', is expressed as a 24-hour clock. An example is 14:00:00 29/May/2003. The value of this object is used only if the ctLockMethod object has a value of lockRealTime.

What is ctLockRealTime?

This read-only, 20-character DisplayString reports the current last timeslot available for retrieval from the History databases, in the same "hh:mm:ss dd/mmm/yyyy" format, and is only meaningful when ctLockMethod is set to lockRealTime. An admin reads this value to know the newest data point currently retrievable before issuing further polls, since in lockRealTime mode the available window keeps advancing with the clock. For example, if ctLockRealTime reports "14:00:00 29/May/2003" while polling in real-time mode, the admin knows no data newer than that moment is yet available to retrieve.
